12/27/2012 - Pirate City Christmas Camp and Tournament Justin is a solid 2B who also flashed some arm strength on the mound at the Pirate City Christmas Tournament. As a defender, he plays pitch-to-pitch, moves well laterally and shows sure hands. He is a dependable fielder. Better glove position out front will help him make plays on hard hit balls more consistently. At the plate, he is balanced and athletic and has a level bat path. He has a contact bat and uses the field. We were pleasantly surprised with our first look at Justin on the mound. He came after hitters aggressively with a fastball that topped at 84 mph. He also showed a breaking ball with 10/4 shape that has potential. Overall, Justin is a 2B who can handle the bat and may be able to pitch effectively out of the bullpen as well for a team.
