01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Justin continues to show as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are soft / sure and he showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt, saving throws. Feet / hands work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry on his throws. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (6.82 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. At the plate he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick generating bat speed through an aggressive swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus as he works through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. On the mound, this righty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. Fastball showed a range of 79-80 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and short break. Control / command is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches, pounding the zone. Justin has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Justin is a athletic and lean OF/RHP in the 2025 class. Scouts enjoyed his readiness and how active he was in games. In the field, he has a relaxed feel and his feet are smooth. He gets great reads off the bat and works behind the baseball. Working to eliminate steps after the catch will quicken his redirect time and stop the free 90’s on the paths. On the mound, his arm works well and his FB 78-80 has angles. He can work arm side with it and it pounds the zone. His CB 67-9 has depth and is tough on hitters. Working to trust and throw his CH will help keep hitters from timing his FB. At the plate, he is aggressive and looks to do damage. He has a squared set-up and gets into his load well. Stays inside his feet and his rhythm is controlled. Shows line drive power and can use the whole field. Overall, Justin is a projectable athlete and a must follow in the 2025 class.

04/24/2022 - All-In Membership - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Justin is a RHP/3B in the class of 2025 out of Nazareth, PA. At 3B, he displayed good athleticism by moving efficiently and showing range to the backhand and glove side. He presents his glove out early to react to any bad hops and track the ball to the pocket. He works through with his feet and creates momentum for his throws across the field which were accurate to the bag. As a hitter, he uses a tall stance with smooth timing to get into a balanced launch position. From that position, he delivers the barrel and his lower half through the zone to produce hard contact through the middle of the field. On the mound, Justin throws from a hi 3/4 arm slot. He uses solid mechanics by getting into a balanced position over the rubber, separating on time and landing with control. He works a 4 pitch mix of a fastball (76mph), a cutter with late movement, slider that has good depth and a changeup. Justin is a promising prospect who has the time to continue to progress and improve his game to work towards the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
