04/11/2021 - All-In Membership - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Justin is a 2024 RHP/3B. Medium frame with an athletic build showing room to fill out physically, making him projectable. Primary 3B, efficient footwork with good angles. Clean glove work as he scoops it up with confidence and then shuffles into transfers. Proved he could change arm slots with accuracy as he threw it 79mph across the diamond. Fits the corner infield mold well while showing ability to make routine plays during workouts. Secondary right-handed pitcher, belt high leg raise as he stays balanced throughout the lift. Works inline to target and does a good job getting extended and repeating his delivery. Loose arm action as he released from a 3/4 arm slot. Pounded the zone with the FB and was up to 75mph. Mixed in an 11/5 shaped curveball with medium depth. 2 seam FB had good arm side run. Shows upside on the mound as he still has room to add physically. Left-handed hitter, starting an upright and athletic stance. Good rhythm and a simple path to ball. Stayed short and simple while utilizing a linear swing path as he proved he could drive it to all fields. Bat exit velocity of 85mph. Excellent two-way potential and should tap into the tools soon to get him to the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
