06/11/2023 - National Showcase - Stockton (Sacramento), CA KC continues show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.94 runner. At the plate is where he has improved the most, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 69-71 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with tight spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/10/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sacramento, CA KC is a 2B in the 2024 class. On the dirt, he has quick feet and solid range (7.04 60 yd ). Proves to be agile in the field and can adjust to hops properly. He funnels the baseball well and can release from numerous slots based upon his defensive zone. Has solid awareness on his feeds and turns. His arm works well and is accurate and on-line to his targets. At the plate, he can spray the ball to all fields with his line drive approach. Loads his hands well and creates a solid bat angle to attack the inside part of the baseball. Working to shorten his barrel path consistently, will help him see the ball longer and drive the pitch. Overall, KC has strong starting points to build off of.

05/02/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Reno, NV KC is a class of 2024 2B/RHP prospect. In the field, he shows good pre-pitch actions. Shows the ability to cover ground. Fields ball in center of his body. Does a good job getting his eyes behind the backhand and works through the baseball. At the plate, he shows the ability to get extended. Shows the ability to hit to all fields. Does a good job using his lower ½ throughout the swing. On the mound, he pitches from a ¾ arm slot. Throws 3 pitches for strikes. Fastball shows good sinking action. Curveball has 10-4 breaking action. KC is a good young prospect that we hope to see again in the future.

11/06/2020 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona KC is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training & Competition in Arizona. In the field, KC fields in an athletic position and makes a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help KC make more plays. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets his hands activated in a simple load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a smooth swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. KC can barrel up more baseballs by getting his stride foot down sooner. On the mound, KC is controlled gathering to a balance point and works inline toward the plate. He drives his lower half well and extends through his release. KC's fastball tops out at 63mph with arm side run. Developing off speed pitches can help KC keep hitters off balance. With four more years to develop, KC has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/20/2020 - All-In Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA KC is a projectable, switch hitting OF who graduates in 2024. At the plate, he currently shows more naturally from the right side. He has centered balance, a solid base and fluid rhythm to load. He takes a hack, barrels the ball up and hits the ball where it's pitched, spraying it to all parts of the field. Working to create more extension through contact will help to increase power. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and gets good reads off of the barrel. Transfer is clean with accuracy on his throws into his target. Only entering his freshman year, KC has skills with still a ton of time to progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
