01/16/2023 - National Showcase - Portland, OR Kaemon is a OF/LHP in the 2024 class. In the field, he shows a quick 1st step and covers his defensive zone well. Gains an athletic fielding position and has solid glove presentation. He gets the ball back to the dirt quickly with consistent accuracy. Working to catch the baseball at the highest point on routine plays will help him gain his natural arm action for greater consistency. On the mound, he operates with a 2-pitch mix from an over-the-top release point. His FB touched 73 and had run. His SL sat 66-68 with 1-7 shape. He is mechanically sound and hides the ball well. Uses his lower half well and with a more consistent release point, he will gain velo. At the plate, he has a short stride and works through the baseball. He engages his lower half well and hits off a firm front side. Shows power to the gaps when he lets it travel. Overall, Kaemon is a solid two-way player with room to grow.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
