10/26/2023 - Baseball Factory Best of The West - Upperclass Kaleb is a 2025 OF/RHP from Wailuku, HI who showcased his skills during the BF Best of the West Tournament. In the OF he shows athletic actions and gets good reads off the bat. He shows a clean transfer off of his left foot as he creates momentum towards his and had an arm velocity up to 81mph. On the mound he has repeatable delivery and works with good direction down the slope of the mound. Shows a good mound presence and competes when he is on the bump. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 72mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth, and changeup with some arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. In live game action, Kaleb worked 3 innings of 2-hit ball and induced soft contact. At the plate he hits from an athletic and square stance with comfortable hands. He shows quick hands and a fast barrel through the hitting zone. In live game action, he had a triple down the RF line, and a single. We look forward to seeing Kaleb at another event in the near future.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Oahu, HI Kaleb is an athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness (7.11 60 time) in tracking down balls. Throws are accurate with carry (81 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 73-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Kaleb has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
