07/28/2024 - BF Evaluation Experience at Myrtle Beach Kaleb Peavey is a 2028 shortstop. He has an athletic fielding position and displays effective footwork when on the field. That footwork translates into a lot of range at shortstop for Kaleb. Being a long-armed player, Kaleb has a tendency to get his glove down late, but with good reps, that can be refined. As long as he trusts his abilities and doesn't rush, his throws, and double play feeds will be more accurate. Kaleb is a right-handed hitter with a tall setup. He tends to step out on his stride which is why he is a pull hitter but that may cause him issues with middle away pitches. He is a very aggressive hitter which is why he typically hits the ball harder when making contact. Once he learns how to stride even, and get a bit stronger with the top hand, that will eliminate a lot of the pop ups and allow him to use the entire field when hitting.
