11/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Indianapolis, IN Karson is a 3B/RHP who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At 3B, he works to center the baseball and ability to make routine plays. Tries to create good fielding angles. Made accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 72mph. On the mound, gathers over the rubber, with a good rear hip coil, and takes a proper stride length. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and gets his chest over front knee. Flashed a FB that sat 67-71mph with some movement in the zone, a developing circle changeup, and a split changeup with downward action that he throws with FB arm speed. Split CH was a better pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance. Showed good hand/eye coordination and keeps his head down. He hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Karson having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
