02/19/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Parker , CO Karter is a 2026 SS/RHP prospect with an athletic frame at 5'10" 145 pounds. At short, he shows off impressive footwork and takes good angles to the baseball. He stays athletic when fielding and does a nice job of fielding out in front. He has a solid backhand and his arm impresses from the hole. He has a quick exchange and is able to stay accurate to his targets while throwing from multiple slots. He does a great job of following his flips on double play balls. At the plate, he starts in an open stance and has a short stride. He keeps his balance centered through contact and does a nice job of getting a lot out of his lower half. His bat speed is solid and he's able to generate hard contact to the gaps. He does a great job of getting good hip rotation and finishing strong. On the mound, he shows a lot of athleticism and does a great job of throwing strikes. He gets on-time separation and has a clean arm action, extending through his release point. He gets a proper stride length for his frame and generally exhibits clean mechanics. He throws his FB with good location, and he showed off impressive movement with his SL. Overall, Karter is an exciting prospect that we're looking forward to seeing more of in the future!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
