05/26/2024 - National Showcase - Minneapolis, MN Kason is a RHP/C prospect who will graduate in 2027. Tall frame solid build with room to add throughout. Behind the dish has an easy sit and tracks well. Works his thumb under ball with a loud mitt. Has a short arm stroke and made accurate throws to second base with an arm velocity up to 82mph and a best pop time of 2.22 seconds. On the bump he shows a good frontside and works down the slope of the mound. Has a quick arm and gets extended out front. He hits from an athletic stance with good rhythm to swing. Keeps his weight between his knees and gets his barrel on-plane. During his round of BP, he made square contact to all fields. With continued development we foresee Kason having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
