12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Keagen is an athletic 5 ft 8/140 OF/2B in the 2025 class. He recently participated in the AZ Recruiting Classic and showed improvements since his last event. In the field, scouts like his route running abilities and how well he positions himself behind the baseball. He stays square to the baseball and is on-time to field. His pocket has feel and is relaxed to create any adjustments. Gains an over-the-top release to generate accurate feeds. Keagen had a tremendous week at the plate with 6 quality at-bats in 8 PA. He collected 3 hits/3 BB’s and showed barrel control by using the whole field. He sees the baseball well and has above average strike zone knowledge. Shows smooth actions and his barrel stays on-plane. Overall, when Keagen adds more strength in the weight room, he can become a force on the field.

12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Sacramento, CA Keagan is a 2025 OF prospect who continues to show growth in his development. In the OF, he does a great job of getting in an athletic ready position. He shows off quick feet and good range to the glove side. He does well to get behind the baseball and shows off firm hands when making plays. He has a quick exchange and he makes accurate throws to his targets. At the plate, he starts in a tall stance and gets a good load. He tracks the ball well with a still head and works hard to keep his balance centered. He does a nice job of pivoting and has a nice opposite field approach. He is able to spray the ball to all fields. Keagan is an exciting prospect that should continue to develop well!

06/19/2023 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Keagan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve his foot speed. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Fairfield (Sacramento), CA Keagan is a scrappy and talented OF/2B in the class of 2025. In the OF, he shows a quick 1st step to the baseball. He creates a proper glove lane to the baseball and can redirect the baseball back to the dirt quickly. At 2B his feet are active and he centers his body to the baseball. Demonstrates solid range and his exchanges are quick. Follows feeds on his double play actions and has awareness around the bag. Creates accurate feeds from a ¾ release. At the plate, he begins in a crouched stance and gets into his backside well. He has a line drive approach and can use the whole field. Overall, Keagen has solid tools and with quality reps in front of him, he can develop into a fine player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
