01/11/2015 - Interactive Video Program - San Antonio, TX Keegan is a skilled 2-way player as a RHP/1B. On the mound, he has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CUT, KN) coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point, maintains level shoulders and works in-line toward the dish. All pitches are around the zone as he extends through on his release. FB tops out at 72 mph while cutter has 10/4 shape. Knuckle ball moves well and has sink. Defensively at 1B, he has a big/tall frame which fellow INF's like to throw to. He shows range to his glove side and makes the plays cleanly. With the bat, Keegan shows a balanced approach with patience. He likes the pitch middle-in and has pop to his pull-side. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
