09/22/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Kemuel is a 2027 shortstop and right-handed pitcher from Anaheim, CA. He showcases a strong skill set and significant potential for growth. On the mound, he establishes a good balance position and breaks his hands on time, achieving excellent extension out front. He takes a proper stride and lands square to his target, effectively working off a fastball that tops out at 82 mph, complemented by a slider and a changeup that demonstrate good movement within the strike zone. Defensively, he exhibits quick feet and impressive body control, playing low and closing the distance on batted balls. His quick release and strong arm allow him to make accurate throws, reaching up to 91 mph, which adds to his value as a player. At the plate, he shows good barrel control with fluid timing and an explosive barrel through the hitting zone, consistently hitting hard line drives to all fields during batting practice. With his combination of skills and a strong work ethic, this rising sophomore has huge upside and the potential to excel in the years to come.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
