06/21/2024 - College World Series Experience - Session 2 Kendal is a 5 ft 7/170 C/2B in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts with his hard work ethic and willingness to make adjustments to take his game to a higher level. Behind the plate, He tracks the baseball well and keeps his body quiet. Shows solid glove presentations and can redirect the baseball with clean actions. Slot is high 3 qtr. and his ball has life at 76 velo. Registered a 2.47 pop and working to stay on top of the baseball will improve his accuracy. At the plate, he has great balance and a wide stance. Hands stay high and uses a small and simple load. Barrel is on-plane and topped out at a best 75 exit velo. Scouts can tell he has been working hard by lowering his 60 yd dash and 5-10-5 times and feel he is headed in the right direction.

12/17/2023 - National Showcase - Chandler (Phoenix), AZ Kendal is an athletic C/2B who will graduate in 2025. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.45 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At 2B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork and works to squared balls up. Hands are clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Kendal has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
