12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Kennedy continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. At SS, he displays proper footwork as he works to square ball up. Glove action is clean and fields out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a fluid swing. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach and shows a feel for the barrel. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side.

09/24/2023 - National Showcase - Pearland, TX Kennedy is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2027. Medium frame lean build with some strength present. At SS shows active feet, with ability to cut down distance, and good body control at the baseball. He shows ability to cover ground and fields from a square fielding position with a low funnel. Has a short arm stroke and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Made accurate throws to first base, with momentum to target, and an arm velocity up to 77mph. At the plate he hits from an upright and square stance. Short glide step and tracks pitches well. Shows good barrel control and keeps bat flat in the zone. During his round of BP, he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 75mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we see this prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
