12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Kenneth continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.25 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 5 for 11 with a 3B. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 64-67 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player, coachable, and plays the game hard.

01/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - San Diego, CA Aidan is a thin, athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and catcher. In the INF, Aiden has soft/presentable hands, fluid footwork, and he fields in a low/square position. He fields in rhythm, makes plays consistently, and has a clean exchange with an accurate arm across the diamond. Behind the plate, Aidan has efficient footwork, athletic actions, and he sits in squarely. He moves though the ball well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a quick accurate arm to his target. Offensively, Aidan has an open stance, a square stride, and good balance. He swings aggressively, hits with strength to the pull side, and he uses his lower body. Overall skills can improve if Aidan can work on the following.

Infield
1. Exchange
2. Arm strength
Catching
1. Blocking
2. Soften glove
Offense

2. Hands

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
