06/04/2017 - College PREP - Troy (Albany), NY Kenny is a talented shortstop prospect who has a projectable frame and graduates in 2020. As a right-handed hitter, Kenny has a closed stance with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a good load and takes a square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Kenny has a direct swing path with a middle of the field approach. He shows consistent contact and the ability to spray the ball to fields. In the field, Kenny plays with active footwork and agile actions to move well in each direction laterally. He gets around the ball and fields it athletically in a square position. Kenny has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from an over the top slot. He has a quick release and is developing arm strength. Overall, Kenny has a good approach on both sides of the ball and good potential to get even better.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
