06/20/2015 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Kevin is a R/R OF who has a big/strong frame. At the plate, this RHH shows a square setup with good balance. He whips the barrel through a level path and engages his lower 1/2 well, driving the ball on a line. Defensively, he shows active footwork taking good routes/angles to track down fly-balls. He gathers well, has a clean exchange and makes strong/accurate (83 mph) throws into his target. Continuing to develop his footwork / agility will aid in his development in the OF. Kevin is a versatile player who is coachable. He has a ton of upside and should find success in this upcoming (senior) year.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
