04/14/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Plano (DFW), TX Kevin is a young, 2-way player with a thin frame. At 3B, Kevin has soft hands, fluid footwork, and he takes good angles to the ball. He uses 2 hands, fields aggressively, and throws with accuracy and some carry from a long arm action. In the OF, Kevin showed playable feet, good ranged, and he plays through ground balls well. Offensively, Kevin has a square set-up, a short stride, and he makes contact. He has average bat speed, and goes to the opposite field well. Abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
