01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Kevin is a 3B/2B with a solid average body that shows projection as he continues to physically mature. Foot speed is solid as he utilizes his quick feet well in playing through ground balls with his feet / hands. Glove action is clean and soft in making all the plays. Arm strength is a plus as his throws display carry and accuracy through a quick arm action. Offensively, Kevin has a strong base, loading well, as he takes his quick hands to the baseball. Swing path gets long and he muscles up at times, creating inconsistent path. He has strength in his swing flashing gap power as he was 3 for 6 at the event. Kevin has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
