04/29/2018 - College PREP - Douglasville (Atlanta), GA Kimani is an athletic OF who will graduate in 2020. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.16. In the OF, he displays smooth / clean actions. He takes proper routes / angle in tracking down balls but needs to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Kimani has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
