08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD KJ delivered an effective performance for Team Freedom at the All-Ripken games in Aberdeen. On the mound, his mechanics showcased balance and deception, with his lead shoulder slightly elevated at separation, making it challenging for hitters to pick up the ball. His breaking ball, slower than his fastball, featured impressive vertical tumble, keeping batters off balance in the zone. At the plate, KJ demonstrated patience and discipline, consistently having quality at-bats. He saw many pitches and waited for strikes, highlighted by gap shots to both first base and right field. One of his standout moments was an impressive triple to left center field, showcasing his potential as both a hitter and a pitcher. His combination of skills makes him a player to watch moving forward.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
