09/25/2024 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2025) Kody is a catcher and right-handed pitcher from Carbondale, CO, who showcased his talents at the Arizona Senior Fall Classic. His athletic actions and strong feel for the game allow him to present a solid target behind the plate, where his blocking skills stand out thanks to his good spine angle and tucked chin. On the mound, he exudes a confident demeanor with a bulldog mentality, effectively throwing strikes with both of his pitches; he didn't allow an earned run and struck out two in his outings. As a right-handed hitter, he demonstrates excellent barrel control and extension, consistently driving the ball hard to the pull side. Proving to be a tough out, he reached base with a double, two singles, and three walks, adding to his RBI total. To elevate his game further, he should focus on improving his receiving skills and engaging his lower half during batting.

02/19/2024 - National Showcase - Parker , CO Kody is a 2025 C prospect with an athletic frame at 6'1" 180 pounds. Behind the dish, he does a great job of getting in a good setup and shows off quick feet. He gives his pitchers a good target and shows off impressive pocket awareness with the ability to stick and extend. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws with strength online to his targets. He does a great job on balls in the dirt and he gets in great position with his chest angled over his knees. He also shows off quick recovery on balls that skip away. His arm is also solid and he recorded a raw velo of 82 MPH. At the plate, he starts in a squared stance and has a short stride with a good load back. He keeps his balance centered and has a firm frontside with his lower half. He shows off fast bat speed and he makes hard contact with some pop to the pull side. He lets his hips finish through contact and he recorded an exit velo of 82 MPH. Kody is an exciting prospect that we are looking forward to seeing more of as he continues to develop!

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
