01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Kody is a middle infielder with an athletic, thin frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature and fill out. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 7.00 60 time as he utilizes his quick, athletic feet showing an aggressive approach to and through the baseball with his feet / hands. Release is quick showing a plus transfer / exchange as his feet and hands work well together in getting rid of the baseball quickly. Throws shows some carry with accuracy into his target and is more suited for 2B at the next level as he needs to get on a long toss program. Offensively, Davis displays a short, compact path to the baseball with a solid feel for the barrel. His short game is a plus as he will lay down a bunt for hit and is well suited for a 1 or 2 hole type hitter. On the bases, he is aggressive with plus instinct as he will take or swift a base. Kody has a lot of potential and will get looks from the college coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
