03/24/2024 - National Showcase - Windsor (Madison), WI Kole showed some nice improvements, most notably with the bat and arm. He posted his top arm strength to date at 75 mph and showed improved hitting mechanics and power, posting a 78 mph exit velocity. At the plate, he shows a good use of his lower half and hits hard line drives. Defensively he has good lateral movement and gets down quick to block.

06/29/2023 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Kole continues to shine in his baseball abilities at the Cape Cod event. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.40 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

05/28/2023 - National Showcase - Minneapolis, MN Kole is a C who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame, with broad shoulders, and an athletic build. Behind the dish he has quiet actions and tracks ball to mitt. He tries to gain ground towards second base and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Had an arm velocity up to 73mph and a best pop time of 2.34 seconds on his throws to second base. At the plate he hits from a tall and closed stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. During his round of BP he made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 71mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Kole making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
