09/24/2023 - National Showcase - Pearland, TX Kolt is a 1B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2026. Tall frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to add more strength throughout. At 1B he starts with efficient footwork with ability to make routine plays. Creates good angles glove side, with good glove actions, and fields from a square fielding position. A short arm action into a high 3/4 release point with consistent throws to second base. Showed good footwork around bag. On the mound, he has a projectible frame with long levers. He works with good tempo and throws with intent. Throws a FB that sits 69-71mph with good command, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a developing knuckle ball. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. Direct barrel path with ability to stay long and through the baseball. Hit baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph during BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Kolt making huge strides on the baseball diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
