06/06/2010 - College PREP - Troy (Albany), NY Kristopher is a young, small, OF that hits from the left side. In the OF, Kristopher works to get behind the ball well, and plays through. He is aggressive in the OF, uses a good crow hop, and gets rid of the ball quickly. Kristopher has a solid / loose arm action with some carry to his target. Improvements can be made by staying taller when throwing, hitting the cut-off man, and adding arm strength. At the plate, Kristopher has good balance, bat speed, and barrel accuracy. He tracks the ball well, is an aggressive hitter, and has a relaxed approach. Hitting grades can further improve if Kristopher can let the ball travel deeper into the hitting zone and work the ball to all fields.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
