Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • CPosition Projection

02/27/2022 - All-In Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Kyle is a C/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame solid build and strength present. At C, he has an easy sway, with good hip flexibility, and presents a low target. Good lateral movement, with good blocking angles, and works to center the baseball. Works thumb under, with a clean exchange, into a 3/4 release point with carry on his throws to second base. Arm velocity was up to 75mph and his best pop time was 2.18 seconds. On the mound, he showed good command of his FB as worked both sides of the plate. Had good speed variance on all 3 of his pitches. He maintained velocity on his FB when he pitched from the stretch. Throws a FB that sits 70-73mph, a breaking ball with 10/4 shape, and a developing changeup. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Relaxed setup, with smooth rhythm, and ability to control the barrel. He showed a fast barrel as he squared up to balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 87mph during BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
