Demonstrates advanced bag awareness on his feeds and turns. On the mound, he has a compact delivery and keeps his eyes to the target. His FB sat 69-72 with tailing actions. His CB had 11-5 shape and was in the zone at 60-2. His CH showed run with deception at 63-4. At the plate, he has quick hands and can spray lines drives to all fields. Creates consistent contact with fluid and smooth movements. Overall, scouts were impressed with his skill set and are excited to witness his development at future BF events.

06/24/2022 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (MS) Kyle is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training at the CWS. In the field, Kyle makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange. He shows a quick arm and makes strong/accurate throws across the diamond. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Kyle field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with loose hands. He shows strong barrel control and drives the ball from gap to gap. Kyle can improve his timing at the plate by getting his stride foot down sooner. On the mound, Kyle gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing square to his target. Kyle operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 64mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 50-53mph with 11-5 break. Extending through his release can help Kyle improve his pitch command and velocity. Overall, Kyle is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/07/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Walnut Creek, CA Kyle is a SS/RHP in the class of 2027. In the field, he shows active feet and good pre-pitch actions. Does a good job gaining ground on the baseball and fields from a low/square fielding position. Creates momentum to throw and shows off a clean/fluid arm action. At the plate, he starts in a tall/open stance and strides to a square position. Shows smoothness and balance throughout his swing. Does a good job getting his hands extended out front and through the baseball. On the mound, he delivers all pitches from a high ¾ arm slot. Shows a clean arm action and repeatable mechanics. Fastball has tailing action and works up to 65 MPH. Breaking ball is a 11-5 shape that is thrown with good arm speed. His changeup is his best pitch with good downhill sinking action and thrown with the same arm speed of his fastball. Kyle is a good player that has many more years of high school to continue to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
