08/04/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - Middletown, CT - PM Kyle is a thick, strong, 2-way player that currently projects better at 1B than on the mound. Defensively, Kyle has average hands and feet, and he fields the ball out in front of his body. He moves well around the bag, has a soft backhand, and he delivers the ball accurately to his target. Kyle can improve his defensive skills by getting his glove down sooner, not standing straight up to throw, and by adding arm strength. On the mound, Kyle has a quick / loose arm action and is effective down in the zone. He gets his pitches over the plate for strikes and he has a good idea with his CH. Mound effectiveness can get better if Kyle can avoid throwing across his body, finish off his pitches better, and again, add arm strength. At the plate, Kyle has good balance, bat speed, and tracks the ball well. He has a proper load, a line drive approach, and he makes good use of his lower 1/2. A looser grip and more direct hands to the ball should help offensive numbers climb.
