12/19/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Bradenton (Tampa), FL Kyle is an OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Kyle shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Long tossing can help Kyle build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and tracks the ball well. He engages his lower half and swing with intent, driving the ball to his pull side. Kyle can produce more consistent contact by working through a more level swing path. Overall, Kyle is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Kyle continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, he now shows outstanding hitting abilities with well above average power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. In the OF, he continues to shine as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate with carry to his target.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Kyle continues to show a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet well in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. He has some strength in his swing with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 2B and 3B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/03/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Tampa, FL Kyle is an athletic and talented 2022 OF prospect. In the OF, Kyle starts in an athletic position, has a good first step to the ball, and attacks ground balls. He works behind fly balls and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Kyle starts in an athletic and open stance. He loads his hands back into the drive position, he attacks the inside part of the ball, creates backside drive with his lower half, and looks to drive the ball to all fields. Kyle will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

05/08/2016 - National Tryout - Tampa, FL Kyle continues to work hard on his game. With the bat, this righty shows a square setup with centered balance. He tracks pitches into the zone and squares the ball up consistently. Swinging on a shorter/more direct path with more bat speed will result in increased power. At SS, he hustles around the GB into a square fielding position. He tracks the ball into a soft mitt, gathers well and makes accurate throws to 1B. Kyle will continue to get stronger as he matures which will help in his overall development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
