09/18/2024 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2026) Kyler Croft, a 2026 3B/RHP from Kalispell, MT, recently made a strong showing at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. On the mound, he impressed with an 80 mph fastball, paired with a 70 mph curveball and a 75 mph changeup. He established a solid presence and consistently pounded the strike zone with his fastball. As he continues to develop strength and fine-tune his delivery, his velocity will only improve. Defensively at 3B, Croft’s standout feature is his arm strength, as he made every required throw with ease. Enhancing his lateral movement will help boost his range and overall effectiveness at the position. At the plate, Croft showed great potential and rarely swung and missed, allowing him to be more aggressive with his swings. His weekend was highlighted by a double, a triple, and a stolen base, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Above all, it’s clear that he loves the game, which is his greatest asset.

He employs a solid pre-pitch routine that helps him create effective angles on defense. Known for his tenacity, he is willing to dive for baseballs and demonstrates versatility with online throws from various arm slots. His touch on flips and follow-throughs is commendable. At the plate, he starts with an open stance and showcases quick, powerful hands that generate line drives to all fields during batting practice. On the mound, he displays smooth mechanics and a solid understanding of pitching strategy. His fastball features good movement, complemented by a curveball that he consistently throws for strikes and a change-up that he keeps low in the zone. With two years of continued growth and development ahead, his future in baseball looks promising.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
