10/18/2023 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic Kyler is a hardworking and coachable OF/LHP in the 2025 class out of Lubbock, TX. In the field, his speed and range (7 flat runner w/ a best 6.84) is on display. His feet are in sync with his body and has an athletic and relaxed feel. Arm is a plus tool (87 raw velo) and is accurate to his targets. On the mound, he has a feel for pitching and can create swing and miss activity. His FB topped out at 85 and showed arm side run and was in the zone with high frequency. His CB shaped at 2-8 and ranged 69-74. Working to maintain the same arm angle from his FB to CB will allow for further deception. At the plate, he uses a short and compact swig from the left side. He has great hand/barrel control and creates hard contact at 80-5 exit velo. Overall, Kyler is a 2025 prospect to keep and eyes on.

05/14/2023 - National Showcase - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Kyler is an OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.84 seconds. In the OF, showed fluid feet and ability to cover ground in all directions. Aggressive routes enable him to create good fielding angles as he works through the ball. Showed ability to flip his hips and go get balls. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with accurate throws into infield at 84mph. On the mound, this left-handed pitcher works exclusively from the stretch. Showed ability to repeat his delivery. Showed a quick arm with good feel for all 3 of his pitches. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 80-84mph with tailing action. Mixed in a 1/7 shaped breaking ball that flashes tight spin and a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed. CB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he starts with a tall and open stance. Creates good timing, with a small hand load, and hits into a firm frontside. Showed quick hands and a fast barrel through the hitting zone. Hit hard line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. As this 2-way prospect continues to develop and mature, we see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
