09/27/2023 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2024) Kyler is an athletic infielder with tools in the 2024 class. In the field, he plays on the balls of his feet and shows quick movements in the field. Gains a positive 1st step and a low fielding position. His exchanges are clean and shows versatility by using numerous arm slots based upon his defensive zone. Arm plays at 82 and his feeds are accurate. At the plate, he has an athletic base and his hands are loose. Uses a small and simple load to obtain his hitting position. Shows excellent barrel accuracy and balance in his swing. Working to understand the strike zone will increase his stock as he sees high level pitchers in the future. Overall, he impressed scouts and they feel he can make an impact at a college program next year.

06/29/2023 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Kyler is a 2024 MINF out of East Providence, Rhode Island who continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities and did so at the Cape Cod event. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. At SS, defensive abilities are excellent as he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (80 mph velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as Kyler enters his senior year.
02/20/2023 - National Showcase - Tiverton (Providence), RI Kyler continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. At SS, he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body, gaining ground. Hands are clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.
10/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Tiverton (Providence), RI Kyler showed a spike in radar velocity to 79 MPH during his last workout with The Factory. He continues to show solid defensive skills, fluid footwork, and agile range. Kyler has smooth actions, soft hands, and a quick/clean exchange. He picks out the right hops and throws with a short/accurate arm across the diamond. Offensively, Kyler has a square stance, good balance, makes consistent contact, and has a level bat path. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as he enters his junior baseball season.
07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy- Session 1 (HS) Kyler continues to shine on the diamond with his baseball abilities and did so at the IMG National World Series. At SS, feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. 01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Kyler is a 2024 SS prospect out of East Providence, RI who showcased his skills during the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American Tournament. At SS, he starts in an athletic position, with active feet, and has good lateral range. He creates good fielding angles as he fields from an athletic fielding position with ability to pick out hops. Made consistent throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with momentum towards target, and arm velocity up to 77mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Showed fluid timing, with a short glide step, and is centered at contact. Showed a fast barrel as he hit hard line drives consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 80mph. In live game action, he reached base on a single and showed good plate discipline. With 2 1/2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Kyler having a bright future on the baseball diamond.
12/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Kyler is a SS out of East Providence, RI in the class of 2024. Defensively, he continues to show his athletic quick footwork while covering ground and presenting his glove with soft hands to receive the ground ball. He has a quick loose arm action which helps him get the ball out of his glove. Offensively, he utilizes an open set up with fluid timing to attack the inside of the ball and work the middle of the field. He has a short stroke and good bat speed which helps him make consistent contact. Kylee could benefit from a long toss program to strengthen arm. Overall, this athletic prospect is a player to watch out for as he continue to develop his game to work towards the next level.
08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) Kyler is a 2024 MIF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, he starts on the balls of his feet and shows efficient feet with good body control. Has a quick/clean exchange, who creates momentum to his target, and throws from multiple arm angles. Accurate throws with a quick release and an arm velocity up to 67mph across diamond. Showed good touch on his DP feeds. A long toss and J-band program will help with arm strength. At the plate, this right-handed hitter hits from an athletic and open stance with a comfortable hand set. A flat barrel with good extension enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph. During the games, Kyler reached base 4 times with a double, a single and 2 walks. Overall, Kyler is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
04/18/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Marlborough (Boston), MA Kyler is a 2024 SS. Medium frame athletic build showing room to fill out physically down the road. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary SS, starts with a good pre-pitch routine with active feet and ability to center ball. Athletic actions and good feel for the position. Good lateral range who showed he can pick out hops and fields out front. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity that touched 73mph. Good energy and instincts who projects well at the position. Right-handed hitter hits from an upright and open stance. Starts with a solid base and a controlled load. Good hip rotation and keeps hands inside ball. Contact hitter who tries to hit ball where pitched. Sprayed ball to all fields and recorded a bat exit velocity of 77mph. 4 years of continued growth and development will bode well for his opportunities to play at the next level.

11/15/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Marlborough (Boston), MA Kyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.
02/29/2020 - Baseball Factory Mid-Atlantic Offensive Skills Training - Columbia, MD (Ages 12-14) Kyler is a hard worker who showed well at the plate during his time at the Offensive Skills Training event. As a hitter, he stands in well with centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. Quick hands whip the barrel to and trough the zone, as he connects with pop and hits hard line-drives. Power will only continue to climb as he matures and gets physically stronger. Lorenz is a coachable player who (2024 grad) still has a ton of time to progress.
07/19/2019 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (Ages 12-14) Kyler is a SS/2B with an athletic frame that showed well at the Cape. He hustled and showed great energy throughout the event. At SS, Kyler showed quick and active footwork with agile range. His fielding position is athletic and presents his hands confidently with soft hands. He has a quick, clean exchange as he creates momentum towards his target and makes accurate throws with a loose arm action out of multiple slots. His throws are strong with carry to all bases. At the plate Kyler sets up slightly open with loose hands and shows good rhythm in his load. His stride is short and fluid with a smooth and compact swing. He makes hard contact with plus barrel control and a line drive approach. Kyler also showed good aggressiveness on the base paths. As Kyler continues to grow and get stronger his game will surely improve.
03/02/2019 - Mid Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Kyler is a coachable SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Regional Hitting Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and gets into his load smoothly. He drives through well with his lower half and takes a direct swing path, leading to consistent line drives. Taking a square stride towards the pitcher can help Kyler improve as a hitter. With five more years to develop, Kyler has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
