07/28/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Kylon is a strong, athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. In the INF, Kylon has active feet, soft hands, and athletic actions to the ball. He fields the ball cleanly, picks out good hops, and shows a quick release with some accuracy across the diamond. Abilities at SS can improve if Kylon can follow his throws and improve his accuracy/arm strength. On the mound, Kylon has a clean arm action, he works in good rhythm, and get good extension on his pitches. He stands over the rubber well, pitches to contact, and finishes in a complete position. If Kylon can continue to add arm strength and work on his off-speed consistency, abilities on the hill will get better. Offensively, Kylon stands in the box athletically; he loads properly, and swings in good rhythm. He swings aggressively, has fast bat speed, and plus pop to the pull side. If Kylon can let the ball travel deeper, and stay short to the ball, hitting and power grades can spike.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
