05/30/2010 - College PREP - Nashville, TN LJ is a young two-way player at SS plus on the mound with a small, thin frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level. Feet are active but needs to be more aggressive in coming to get, playing through the baseball with his feet / hands. Glove action is presented down and out but has some hardness in hands. Throws flash carry through a quick arm action as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. He will benefit by getting on a long toss program. Offensively, Sharp displays a balanced approach through a level swing path. He has some strength in his swing with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered. Swing path gets long due to an arm bar created in his load. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 71-74 mph with off speed pitches needing a lot of work to be quality pitches at the next level. With 2 years to further develop, LJ has abilities with time and room to improve.
