03/22/2015 - College PREP - Bowie, MD Holland is a (6'1"/215) C/3B who can swing it. At the dish, this RHH displays a square setup with a solid base. He works back into a strong load/launch position with bat leverage waiting for his pitch. Barrel delivery is quick to and through the zone. He engages his lower 1/2 and drives the ball with pop to the deep parts of the field. Behind the plate, Lahmad sits in well and receives with a soft mitt. Exchange is clean as he gains ground toward 2B on his throws down (pop times of 2.18). At the hot corner, he works into a square fielding position and gathers well. He gets his shoulders in-line and fires accurate throws with carry to 1B. Playing more on the balls of his feet will allow for increased lateral range which will aid in his development in the INF. Lahmad is a talented 2-way player who will make an impact with the bat.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
