03/17/2024 - National Showcase - Greenville, SC Lamorris continues to show as a top prospect with his baseball abilities on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and play through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness (7.10 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls but needs to attack more and play through with his body. Glove action is sure and presents out front. Throws are accurate with on line carry to his target. At the plate he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. The baseball explodes off his bat when centered.

01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Lamorris is a 2025 3B who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At 3B, he had effective footwork and was agile to his glove side. He attacks the ball well and gets into a square fielding position presenting firm hands. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with great accuracy across the infield. Lamorris did a good job working ground up and following his flips on double play turns. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts in an open stance and has a short stride. He has smooth rhythm and an activated load. He has a direct swing path and presented power to all fields. His 87 mph top exit velocity played up in game and during batting practice. Going into his junior season we expect Lamorris to continue to catch the eyes of scouts at the college level.

09/10/2023 - National Showcase - Greenville, SC Lamorris is a 2025 3B/OF prospect with an athletic frame at 6'1" 195 pounds. In the OF, he shows off quick, active feet and agile movements with range to all angles. He gets in a squared fielding position and really attacks ground balls. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws with a long arm action and carry to his targets. At third, he has quick, active feet with good lateral movements to the baseball. He works around the baseball and gets in a good, squared fielding position. His hands are clean and he has a solid backhand. He has a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws to his targets with carry. At the plate, he starts in an open stance with a short stride to the pitcher. He has fluid movements and he does a great job keeping his balance centered through contact. His lower half stays engaged and works through the baseball, and he finishes strong with his backside. He has a direct, on-plane path to the baseball and he rotates through finish. He makes hard, consistent contact and he recorded a max exit velo of 89 MPH. Lamorris is an exciting prospect that we expect to play at the next level!

06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament Lamorris continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the All-State event. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through a closed setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength ins his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing through an aggressive hip turn.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Lamorris is an 3B/OF in the 2025 class. In the field, he has effective footwork and runs well for a corner inf (7.25 runner). Fields out in front and can knock down the tough hop. Shows a quick release from a high ¾ slot. Has the arm strength at 83 velo and working to stay in his legs will help improve accuracy. At the plate, he is physical and shows a strong swing. Stays balanced and generates pull side production. Overall, Lamorris is a young player to keep an eye on. Scouts are eager to witness his development at future BF events.

12/02/2022 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Lamorris is a talented 3B in the 2025 class. On the dirt, he has effective feet and centers his body to the baseball with athletic movements. Moves well to his glove side and his exchanges are clean and quick. Shows his athletic ability by using numerous arm angles based upon his defensive zone. Release has carry, depth and accuracy (81 velo). At the plate, his swings with intent. Creates bat speed (81 exit velo) and generates hard plus contact. Stays inside his feet well and gains separation in his launch position. Swing is short and stays on plane. Overall, Lamorris is a player with a high ceiling to keep an eye on in the 2025 class.

04/03/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, SC Lamorris is an athletic 3B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he creates good angles and works to square balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting / power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. With 3 years to further develop, Lamooris has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
