06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament Lance continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the All-State event. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable allowing his arm to work 8clean/quick to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 78-82 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

05/14/2023 - National Showcase - Atlanta, GA Lance continues to shine with baseball abilities on the mound. He gathers over the rubber and works into a controlled landing, allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. He shows a 4-pitch mix with fastball showing good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Slider shows tight spin with short break. He maintains arm speed on his change with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/20/2020 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Lance is a coachable RHP/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Christmas Camp & Tournament. On the mound, Lance shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 65-66mph with 11-5 break. In the field, Lance fields the ball out in front of his body and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a controlled stride. He gets his hands activated on time and remains centered in his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent line drives. Overall, Lance is a talented prospect who has the time potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/08/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, SC Lance is a solid, strong RHP/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, he displays a sound, repeatable delivery, allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76 mph. Fastball shows on a downhill plane with late life. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late, sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run and sink. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is excellent as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 4 years to further develop, Lance has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
