01/17/2025 - 2025 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Landan continues to excel with his baseball abilities on the diamond. In the outfield, he moves with smooth, fluid actions, using active footwork to get behind the ball and play through with momentum toward his target. His glove work is clean and well-presented out front, with range expected to increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he showcases a tall setup, making consistent contact through a line-drive approach, with power showing best to the pull side. His lower half works effectively through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. On the mound, his fastball ranges from 69-71 mph, complemented by a breaking ball with a 10/4 shape and gradual break. As he continues to develop arm strength through a long toss program, his stock on the mound will continue to rise.

11/08/2024 - Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Select Training & Competition (HS) Landon is a freshman outfielder and right-handed pitcher who recently worked hard to improve his skills at the Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Training in Arizona. As an outfielder, Landon demonstrates strong reads off the bat, allowing him to run efficient angles and showcase excellent footwork. His clean exchange off his left foot helps him get rid of the ball quickly, though refining his arm slot for increased velocity and accuracy will further enhance his defensive play. At the plate, Landon stands in an upright stance with comfortable hands and a smooth rhythm. He uses his hips and hands well, allowing him to make consistent contact and drive the ball to all fields. During live games, he reached base on a single, showing his ability to hit in game situations. On the mound, Landon starts square on the rubber with a small rocker step and quick arm action. He mixes his pitches effectively, throwing a fastball, curveball, and changeup, and in three innings of work during the event, he struck out two, didn't allow an earned run, and induced soft contact. With more time to develop, Landon has a lot of potential as both a position player and pitcher, and continued work on his mechanics will help him reach new levels of success.

07/15/2024 - National Showcase - Cleveland, OH Landan is a RHP who will graduate in 2028. Tall frame lean build with room to add. On the mound he works fast and works down the slope of the mound. Stays tall on the backside and gets his chest to his glove. A 3-pitch pitcher who attacks hitters with a tailing FB, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with tight spin, and a changeup with tailing action. At the plate he starts in an athletic stance. Shows smooth timing and gets on-plane early. Made square contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 65mph during his round of BP. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Landan making huge strides on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
