07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Landon is a 2027 LHH 1B/3B prospect from El Paso, IL who recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. In the infield, he shows off active footwork and does a good job of centering the baseball when fielding. He makes all the routine plays and has a high motor on the baseball field. His baseball IQ is high and he understands the positions. He has a nice 2-handed exchange and does well to get rid of the ball quickly. He makes accurate throws to his targets across the diamond. He recorded a raw velo of 73 MPH, improving on his last reading of 71. At the plate, he starts in a tall, open stance with high hands. He has a firm frontside with his lower half and does a really good job of getting extended through contact with a high finish. He does a good job of rotating his core when swinging and works hard to keep his front side from flying open. In game action, he reached base in 3 of 7 plate appearances with a single, walk, and hit by pitch. How he acts on the diamond really jumps out at you, as he asked a lot of questions and was a great teammate. Overall, Landon is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop his baseball skills!
