01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament At 6'6", 220 pounds Landry is an imposing figure on the mound with an excellent frame for a pitcher. He battled through some difficult weather at the UAAAPS Tournament to pitch very effectively. His fastball showed late life and held a velocity of 87-89 mph throughout his outing. He threw it for strikes and to both sides of the plate - not afraid to pitch inside. Landry struck out 7 with a 2-pitch mix that included a breaking ball with 10-4 shape that was effective. His upright finish made it tough to get consistent finish on this pitch, but he still got several swing-and-miss results. Overall, this is a RHP with a chance to be an outstanding arm at the next level.

08/17/2012 - Interactive Video Program - South Williamsport, PA Landry is a tall lean two-way player that plays 3B/P. In the field, Landry displays a long arm action that is accurate with good life across the diamond. His glove work is sound, working low to high with a quick exchange on backhand plays. On the mound, Landry shows the ability to throw two pitches for strikes with good feel. Fastball shows some arm side run and his curveball has a 11/5 break with a good late break. At the plate, Landry displays a strong lower half and the ability to control his barrel. His load is strong, landing with his body centered and his hands reaching a strong position back.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
