08/13/2023 - National Showcase - Honolulu, HI Leahiaukai is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. At SS, he starts with quick feet and a good prep step. Creates good fielding angles as he fields from an athletic fielding position with soft hands out front. Has a low funnel and throws from multiple arm slots. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 87mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Fluid timing, with quick hands, and a strong barrel control at contact. He hits into a firm front side with an explosive bat through the hitting zone. A short/direct barrel path enables him to hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 89mph during BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Leahiaukai having opportunities to play at the next level.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Oahu, HI Leahiaukai continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.78 runner. At SS, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turn of the double play. Throws are accurate with online carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (93 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Leahiaukai continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pre-season All American event. At SS, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body, gaining ground. Hands are clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through an aggressive hip turn. Leahiaukai has a high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Aukai is an impressive 2025 prospect out of the state of Hawaii. With athleticism, strength, and baseball skills across the board he is an advanced player with projection still in front of him. Defensively, he shows smooth actions with soft hands, his feet work in rhythm and into a quick transfer where his upper 80 MPH arm strength plays well at SS. He projects to stick at SS as he matures, but can easily handle a move to 3b or 2b. Offensively, his swing has present bat speed with a path geared to lift the ball with authority and his exit velocities routinely get in the upper 80 and low 90 MPH range peaking at 92 MPH. Running the 60 in a best of 6.97 while consistently clocking in the low 7.0 range he has the present athletic ability to be an impact defender at SS while showing the potential to be a top of the order impact offensive player. He is a high follow prospect in the 2025 class.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
