05/19/2024 - National Showcase - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Although Levi was a strong player the last time we saw him, we noticed a marked improvement since the previous workout last October. He's put on a little size since then, but has managed to get faster in the meantime now running a 7.13 second 60. Arm showed 86mph with good carry through his target. Feet and hands work in rhythm and his lateral mobility is a plus. He touched 87mph with exit velocity off the tee. He had a couple of strong rounds at the plate barreling up every baseball we threw him. He's short to the baseball and stays balanced throughout the swing. Power is a plus. We see big things in Levi's future on the diamond. He's definitely one to watch.

10/29/2023 - National Showcase - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Levi is an athletic RH SS in the 2025 class. In the field, he shows quick feet and agile movements to the baseball. Gains an athletic fielding position with soft hands. Redirects the baseball quickly to a loose high 3qtr arm slot. Arm plays at 82 and is accurate to his targets. Has advanced skills around the bag on his turns and feeds. At the plate, he begins in a narrow base and uses a direct path the baseball for flush contact. Creates bat speed (80 exit velo) with power to the pull side. Working to keep his hands above the baseball in his load will prevent them from dropping. Overall, Levi is a solid prospect in the 2025 class.

09/20/2023 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2025) Levi is a talented 5ft 9/160 SS in the 2025 class. In the field, he plays on the balls of his feet and uses his quick feet to create solid range. Has a positive 1st step and works well to both glove and arm side. Gains a low and athletic fielding position and his hands are exceptional. Fields out in front and can redirect the baseball with lightning quickness. His feeds are accurate and his arm plays at 82 velo. Levi showed he is a next level defender. At the plate, he displays a line drive approach from a comfortable and athletic stance. Hands are high and triggers into a solid load phase. He is on-time with the pitch and shows a quick and smooth swing. Overall, he impressed scouts at the BF Junior Classic and they are eager to see his development at future BF events.

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Levi is a gifted and athletic SS in the 2025 class. He plays the position with passion, energy and has a high baseball IQ. Shows positive range with quick 1st step agility. Gains a low fielding position with a quick exchange. Reads hops well and has advanced actions on his backhands. Generates momentum through the baseball and displays a fast arm (79 velo) with accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, he is a line drive type hitter with solid hitting mechanics. Gets into his load phase well and uses a short stride to on-time with the baseball. Creates consistent contact and battles with two strikes. Can get long with an uphill path and with his athletic ability can make the adjustment to keep the barrel in the zone longer. Overall, Levi is a must follow in the 2025 class.

01/08/2023 - National Showcase - San Bernardino, CA Levi is a lean SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork and attacks balls playing through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing the middle of the field well through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. With 2 years to further develop, Levi has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
