08/22/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Thousand Oaks, CA Levi is an OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with strength to the build and room to develop. In the OF, shows active/efficient footwork and ability to make routine plays. Showed soft hands and a sure glove in the OF. Loose arm action in back working into a high 3/4 arm slot coming forward, with good momentum to target, and an arm velocity up to 81mph. A left-handed pitcher, he gathers over the rubber, with a clean leg lift, and works with good direction down the mound. Long/loose arm who gets good extension out front. Throws a FB that sat 68-71mph with arm side run, a 12/6 breaking ball with tight spin, and a changeup that he throws with FB speed and has good tailing action. CB was best pitch during bullpen session. A left-handed hitter, he hits from an upright and even stance. Square glide step and small hand load as he hits into a firm front side. Middle of the field approach as he sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph during his round of BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

11/22/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Irvine (Los Angeles), CA Levi is an athletic LHP/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Levi shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 58-61mph with 1-7 break. Changeup sits from 64-66mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Extending through his release can help Levi improve his pitch command and velocity. In the field, Levi shows active footwork and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, working to keep them accurate to his target. Levi can build up his arm strength by long tossing. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works to barrel up the baseball and uses the entire field well. Taking a more level swing path can help Levi produce more consistent contact. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
