12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic (MS) Liam continues to impress with his baseball abilities on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. At SS, feet are aggressive as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 63-65 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving stock on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a team player. Liam is a stand out player and a "future star"...he is definitely one to watch!

07/05/2024 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (MS) Liam is a talented SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing through an aggressive hip turn. With 5 years to further develop, Liam has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
