01/03/2021 - All-In Membership - Milton, NY Liam continues to shine on the diamond. He only showed on the mound at the event. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 74. Fastball shows slight sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength.

12/15/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Madison (NYC), NJ Liam continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently through the swing. In the MIF, he displays smooth, clean actions. Feet are aggressive and plays through with his body. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turn of the double play. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 70 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help him improve as a pitcher.

12/09/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Nyack (NYC), NY Liam continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. In the MIF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He attacks balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft / sure as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 65 mph. Fastball showed a range of 62-65 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

06/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Liam is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series. In the field, Liam shows fluid footwork and gains ground when attacking the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He shows a clean exchange with a quick release on his throws and keeps them accurate and on-line to his target. Liam can improve defensively by increasing his lateral range. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and comes through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact to all fields. Liam can improve as a hitter by quickening his bat speed. On the mound, Liam shows a solid delivery as he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm action and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Liam shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 63mph. Breaking ball sits at 47mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits at 57mph. Liam can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. With four more years to develop, Liam has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

12/10/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Nyack (NYC), NY Liam is a R/R 2-way player as a RHP/SS. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and works in-line towards the dish. FB ranges fro 55-57 mph as he works the zone. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape while CH shows slight sink. At SS, Liam hustles laterally and works around the GB. He gathers well and plays through the ball towards his target. Offensively, this RHH displays an athletic setup with centered balance. He swings on a level path and looks to drive the middle of the field. Continuing to work on the following will aid in his overall development on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
