12/20/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Lincoln continues to impress with in his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 3 for 7 with a 2B and 3B. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/08/2023 - National Showcase - Atlanta, GA Lincoln is a 2026 1B prospect with a strong, athletic frame at 6'0" 195 pounds. At first, he does a good job of making the routine plays on ground balls. He takes good glove side angles and he does a nice job of working through his backhand. He has a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly. He makes accurate throws to his targets with a short arm action and quick release. He has good feel for the position. At the plate, he starts in a squared, tall stance and gets a good load back. He tracks the ball well and shows off smooth rhythm and timing in the box. He keeps his balance centered through contact and works through the baseball with his lower half. He has a great on-plane swing and finishes strong with his backside. He squares the ball up and is able to shoot line drives to all fields. Overall, Lincoln is an exciting prospect that we are looking forward to seeing more of as he continues to develop!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
