10/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.21 runner. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he maintains balance.

10/13/2019 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Logan is a lean OF who will graduate in 2023. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 4 years to further develop, Logan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

11/03/2018 - College Recruiting Day - Ellicott City, MD Logan is a CF prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Logan fields the ball out in front and makes a clean exchange to throw. He stays directional and makes accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with his hands held high. He is controlled getting his hands activated in his load and hits from a strong front side. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Fielding
1. Ready position
2. Quicker footwork
3. Lateral range
Hitting
1. Square stride
2. Increase bat speed
3. Add strength

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
