12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Logan continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes foot quickness (7.16 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows a wide setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. At the event, he was 2 for 3 with 3 BB. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 68-69 mph with sinking action. He is poised and shows a good mound presence.

10/01/2023 - National Showcase - Trenton, NJ Logan is a solid, strong RHP/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting abilities with an athletic setup. Hands are quick (and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 64-69 mph with arm side run. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with cutting action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Logan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
